Roof hatches are the safe, secure way onto a commercial roof. When workers need regular rooftop access for HVAC, skylights, vents, or maintenance, a proper roof hatch beats a ladder and an open hole every time. We install and replace roof hatches as part of our commercial rooftop work.
When a roof hatch makes sense
- Regular rooftop access for equipment, where climbing an exterior ladder is unsafe or impractical.
- Replacing an old, leaking, or rusted-out hatch that no longer seals or locks properly.
- Security, a locking hatch keeps the roof closed to anyone who should not be up there.
- Safety upgrades, pairing a hatch with proper rails and grab bars so access meets safety expectations.
What we handle
We install new roof hatches, replace failed ones, and address the curb and flashing connection on the hatch itself as part of the glazing-and-rooftop scope. As with all our work, if the surrounding roof is the real problem, we will tell you that is a job for your roofer.
Common request: An old galvanized hatch that has rusted, leaks, and no longer latches. We replace it with a new insulated hatch that seals and locks, and the roof access is safe and dry again.
How pricing works
Roof hatch pricing is by size. A standard hatch costs less than a larger or insulated unit, and replacement of an existing hatch is usually more straightforward than a first-time install. We will give you a real number once we know the size and the condition of what is there now.
How it goes
Call us about your access situation. We come look, recommend the right hatch and any safety additions, and give you an estimate.
